What Updraft Is ## A quiet room for songs that have already proven themselves. Every work in Updraft has been evaluated by Song Refiners' review process and staff, and meets a defined quality threshold before it is included. The catalog is selective. It exists to present independent writers with the same seriousness the traditional industry has historically reserved for its own. - 01 Writer-submitted Each song is submitted by the creator/writer for presentation in Updraft. Song Refiners does not take ownership or claim rights in the work. Nothing is licensed away by participating in Updraft. - 02 Professionally reviewed Inclusion requires a Song Refiners score that clears a defined bar. Reviews are conducted by our standard process — no pay-to-play placement. - 03 Presented, not pitched Updraft is a listening environment. There are no auto-pitches, mass emails, or generated one-sheets sent on writers' behalf. - 04 Access is granted, not open The catalog is credentialed. A&R, publishers, sync supervisors, and label reps can browse a small, quality-filtered catalog knowing every work has been independently reviewed.  How It Works ## A deliberate, four-step process. 1. 01 Request access Industry professionals submit a short credential request on the industry preview page. 2. 02 Personal review Requests are reviewed by hand. We look for a real role, a real organization, and a real reason. 3. 03 Credentials issued Approved requesters receive a private preview link. Access is scoped to the requester. 4. 04 Listen on your terms Browse the catalog quietly. If a work fits, you contact the writer directly through the platform. Standards & Boundaries ## What Updraft is — and what it isn't. - Writers keep everything. No assignment of rights, no exclusivity, no publishing claim, no percentage on any deal that results from a listen. - Song Refiners presents, but does not verify rights. Updraft is a curated listening environment. Any questions about ownership, authorship, clearance, licensing, publishing, or business terms are handled directly between the writer and the interested industry professional. - No results are promised. Updraft is a credible presentation of quality-reviewed work. Whether a song leads to a hold, a cut, a sync, or a signing is entirely between the writer and the industry professional. - Access is not sold. There is no fee for industry professionals to request access. Writers are not charged for placement in Updraft beyond their standard Song Refiners review. - Credentials can be revoked. Access is granted for professional listening. Sharing preview links, scraping the catalog, or contacting writers outside the intended workflow ends access. - The catalog stays small.
