Robert Patton is a Texas-based songwriter whose music spans Country, Country Gospel, Christian Country, Bluegrass and Progressive Southern Gospel. After stepping away from songwriting for 26 years, Robert returned to writing in January 2026 with a renewed passion for creating songs built around memorable hooks, conversational storytelling, faith, family, redemption and real-life experiences. His songwriting credits and recognition include "This Side of the Dirt," co-written with Tony Montalbano and recorded by LaVerne Tripp, and "God Saved Me When I Couldn't Save Myself," which received industry recognition through SongU and Song Universe in LA. His song "When Mercy Meets My Mourning" was selected by a professional song plugger for a Nashville pitch meeting connected with a Chosen Road project.
